Highland Park fills with meals, music, enjoyable, Town of Union celebrates July 4th

ENDWELL, N.Y. (WBNG) – Crowds visited Highland Park on Saturday for a day of meals, reside music, and family-friendly enjoyable forward of the night fireworks.

The Town of Union started its annual July 4th Extravaganza at midday, with all kinds of actions for all ages.

Attendees spent the day visiting distributors, watching leisure and testing children’ video games/group teams because the celebration constructed towards the nighttime present.

One native group used the occasion to help a much bigger mission past the Southern Tier.

La Roca Church in Endicott returned as a meals vendor for a fifth yr, elevating cash for mission work within the U.S. and abroad.

“So, we are gathering funds for our mission; we go through, we go not only in our community, but we visit different countries in the world,” stated La Roca Head Pastor Joel Rios.

Rios stated the fundraiser can also be an opportunity to satisfy households locally whereas backing the church’s outreach efforts.

“Last year we went to Honduras and built this house for a family in Honduras. So that’s how we celebrate independence, and that’s how we celebrate Jesus as our savior,” Rios stated.

The festivities are set to finish with fireworks scheduled for 9:15 p.m., with a rain date deliberate for Sunday, July 5.
