In 1980, 8-year-old Heidi Drexler Stehr started spending her summer season holidays on Cape Cod—igniting a love for the New England coast that has adopted her ever since. A standard Cape Cod shingled dwelling, constructed by her maternal grandparents, is the nucleus of her recollections.
