North Little Rock CARES Youth Coalition Family Fun Day

North Little Rock CARES Youth Coalition will probably be internet hosting its annual “Family Fun Day” on Saturday, August 8, from 10 AM to 2:30 PM at Sherman Park Community Center (624 Beech Street, North Little Rock, 72114).

This occasion is open to the general public. Free backpacks, college provides, and haircuts will probably be distributed to our youth. Other actions will embody bounce homes, face portray, meals vans, snow cones and extra.

This initiative to rejoice and interact households within the North Little Rock group is led by Renee Henson, Sherman Park Community Center Director and North Little Rock CARES Youth Coalition member, who says, “I love serving my community; I’ve been doing it for over 40 years. I never like to see a kid go without, so I make sure our kids have everything they need- from the earrings or haircut down to the shoes. I’ll do whatever it takes to help our families get ready for the start of a new school year.”

Last 12 months, over 800 youth and households attended Family Fun Day with over 20 group companions who donated provides and providers. “The North Little Rock CARES Youth Coalition is about bringing people, organizations, and resources together to make a positive difference in the lives of our youth. Our efforts include community family fun events, youth job fairs, back-to-school supplies, and so much more because WE CARE ABOUT OUR YOUTH,” says CARES co-facilitator Darrell Montgomery.
