Beaver assault at Lake George triggers no-swim zone till July 14

LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. (WNYT)- Parts of Lake George are underneath a swimming advisory after a beaver assault over the weekend.

The assault occurred off Turtle Island, about 10 miles north of Million Dollar Beach. NewsChannel 13 visited Turtle Island by boat and noticed a number of indicators on the island saying “NO SWIMMING.”

Turtle Island is a few five-minute boat experience from Bolton Landing, one other fashionable space for swimming and boating. Docks at campsites one by way of 5 weren’t getting used, and the campsites stay open.
