Q: Tell us about this picture?

Steve Sanders: “This is a unique moment. A lot of times, we’re not anywhere near the locker room prior to the game, but in Jacksonville, the way that our camera storage room is set up, it’s right on the side of the locker room,” Sanders mentioned. “So, you have to go in and out of these doors, and prior to the game, Jacob was swapping his batteries when he happened along this moment of Trey taking a moment before he went out to the field. There are so many elements in this photo that work. There’s the signage, the room had the dark carpet, we’re in the white uniforms, and after initially seeing it in color, I thought it just had so many great tones, and we could make a great black and white image. I don’t think we have any other frames like this from any other game last season.”

Q: Following up on that, what went into the choice to make this black and white?

Steve Sanders: “When you decide to make a photo black and white, it has to speak to you a little bit,” Sanders mentioned. “Everybody has a different thought in their mind when they see a black and white photo – it gives it a certain feel. So, if I have an opportunity to turn an image black and white, I think it really adds a lot of depth and makes the viewer think about it a little bit more.”

Q: What does this say about Jacob’s means to be prepared at a second’s discover?

Steve Sanders: “He had his camera ready to go,” Sanders mentioned. “When you’re technically ready and things happen in front of you, you can always get a great frame.”
