Swimming Advisory Issued for Huntington Beach

NEWPORT NEWS, Va.– The Peninsula Health District has issued a swimming advisory for Huntington Beach. Samples collected on July 21 by the Peninsula Health District confirmed that micro organism ranges within the water exceeded the state water high quality commonplace.

Health district employees routinely monitor leisure waters for micro organism throughout the summer time swimming season. Signs are posted on the seashores alerting the general public of advisories. The indicators learn: “Warning swimmers – bacteria levels do not meet state water quality standards, swimming not advised until further notice.”
