Exhibition invitations us to expertise the richness of inventive expression

The Office of Public Works (OPW) and the Dept. of Culture, Communications and Sport are delighted to launch ‘Vision’ Exhibition in Farmleigh, which showcases modern images from the 27 member states of the European Union.

The exhibition varieties a part of Cultúr 2026: Sharing Ireland’s Culture, a programme celebrating Ireland’s Presidency of the European Union from July to December 2026. The exhibition, organised by the Office of Public Works, is supported by the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport in collaboration with the EU Member State Embassies and cultural organisations throughout Europe.

Minister of State with accountability for the OPW, Kevin “Boxer” Moran mentioned: “I am delighted to launch this prestigious and exciting exhibition that celebrates the creativity, perspective and shared cultural experience of our European neighbours. Through the power of photography, this exhibition invites us to experience the richness of artistic expression. I encourage the public to come and visit the thought-provoking and inspiring exhibition up to the end of December”.

The exhibition shares works of European images with guests to Farmleigh and with worldwide audiences via the net gallery (LINK). Under the theme ‘Vision’, every Member State has chosen one photographic work to characterize their nation. The theme displays the various meanings of the phrase, together with sight, creativeness and ambition.

Speaking just lately, Minister O’Donovan mentioned:

“I was delighted to provide funding for this exhibition as part of Cultúr 2026 the Culture Programme for Ireland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Cultúr 2026 aims to showcase the best of Irish arts and culture both here in Ireland and across Europe.
