Korean electronics large LG is taking warmth over intrusive settings on its TVs and laptop displays — and the backlash could be getting began.
It all started on July 17, when an LG gaming monitor buyer observed a pop-up advert for McAfee antivirus software program on their display. The consumer took to X to vent their frustration.
“PSA: Do NOT buy an LG monitor, it automatically downloaded an app that gives me pop ups for their own apps and McAfee,” wrote the client recognized as wexos.

The YouTube channel Gamers Nexus seemed into the report, discovering that LG UltraGear displays have been putting in a program referred to as LG Monitor App Install after customers related them to Windows PCs.
