Policy Replace for Reimbursement of Business Journey Telecommunications Expenses

Procurement and Business Services has up to date a coverage throughout the Georgia Tech Policy Library to make clear allowable reimbursements associated to enterprise journey telecommunications bills.  

Effective Aug. 1, Policy No. 5.2.1.5 – Reimbursements for Purchases Made Using Personal Funds, would require all mobile phone and internet-related prices to adjust to the revised reimbursement tips and expense merchandise necessities. The coverage revisions align with current modifications to the Mobile Communications Device (MCD) Policy relating to reimbursement of private cellular communication gadget bills. 
 
Under the up to date coverage, the next travel-related telecommunications bills could also be reimbursed when itemized: 

Reimbursable Expenses  

• Business-related roaming prices

Non-Reimbursable Expenses  

• Mobile gadget purchases

• Normal recurring private telephone prices

• Normal recurring private web prices

During this transition, transactions that don’t align with the up to date coverage can be charged to MISC Expenses, whereas compliant transactions can be charged to newly established expense gadgets. Following the grace interval, MISC Expenses will not be an authorised expense class for mobile phone and internet-related prices.
