Alder Lake Park – Tacoma Public Utilities

Tacoma Power Parks is in search of a volunteer Campground Host for Alder Lake Park. This is an ideal alternative for somebody who enjoys the outside and needs to assist create a welcoming, protected expertise for park guests. 

As a bunch, you’ll function a pleasant level of contact for campers, help with fundamental park repairs, and assist day-to-day operations alongside park workers. 

This is a part-time volunteer place (not a paid position). Hosts keep on-site and function a visual presence within the park to assist customer expertise and security. 

Commitment:
This is a 3–6 month seasonal placement, relying on availability and park wants. 

Basic necessities: 

• Must have a legitimate driver’s license

• Ability to speak successfully with park guests

• Must be capable of carry out mild bodily duties (strolling, bending, lifting)

• Must move a background verify if chosen

• Must have your individual RV or trailer for on-site keep

Rocky Point Campground is a part of Alder Lake Park and is positioned about 4 miles east of the primary park entrance alongside Highway 7.

• Boat launch (lake stage allowing)

Alder Lake Park presents day-use entry to Alder Lake, with amenities and recreation accessible seasonally and year-round, relying on lake ranges.

• Two boat launches accessible year-round, lake stage allowing

• One no-wake zone and two designated non-motorized areas

Parking Information

• Parking price: $10 on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays between Memorial Day and Labor Day

Sunny Beach Point is a 9-acre day-use park positioned about ½ mile east of the Alder Lake Park entrance on State Highway 7. It is open May 15–Sept. 15, lake stage allowing.
