Gaming Commission Awards Over $2.3 Million in Allocations

WASHINGTON COUNTY, MD (August 11, 2026) – The Washington County Gaming Commission introduced its gaming fund distribution to the Washington County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association, in addition to 54 native charitable organizations.

The Gaming Fund complete of $2,367,846.22 for fiscal yr 2026, which ended June 30, represents a rise of $20,437.33 when in comparison with fiscal yr 2025 revenues.

State legislation requires funds be divided equally between the Washington County Fire and Rescue Association and native charities. In January the Washington County Fire and Rescue Association obtained $526,871.91. As of immediately, an extra $657,051.20 will likely be distributed, bringing the yearly complete for Fire and Rescue to $1,183,923.11.
