Police, fireplace face off at Redlands Family Fun Day

REDLANDS, Calif. — Redlands police and firefighters will face off on the softball area later this month as a part of a free neighborhood celebration that includes dwell music, youngsters’s actions, native distributors and meals.

The Redlands Sunrise Rotary Club will host Redlands Family Fun Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, at Coyazo Park, 2016 Domestic Ave.

The centerpiece of the occasion will likely be a Public Safety Softball Showdown between the Redlands Police Department and Redlands Fire Department. The pleasant competitors will assist increase cash for organizations supporting town’s police and fireplace personnel.

The first 200 attendees can even obtain a free Habit Burger meal with french fries, based on organizers.

Other actions embody a free youngsters zone sponsored by the Optimist Club of Redlands, dwell patriotic music, native meals and artisan distributors, neighborhood organizations and tributes recognizing the nation’s 250th anniversary.

“This event is about celebrating everything that makes Redlands special—our first responders, our local businesses, our families, and our spirit of service,” Redlands Sunrise Rotary Club President Alicia Gyllenhammer mentioned in an announcement.

“We invite everyone to bring a lawn chair, wear their red, white, and blue, and spend the day making memories while supporting our Police and Fire foundations.”

Proceeds from sponsorships, distributors and different fundraising actions will profit the Redlands Fire Department Benevolent Fund, Redlands Police Foundation, and Redlands Sunrise Rotary Club’s youth scholarships and neighborhood service applications.

Admission is free.

Attendees are inspired to park within the designated parking space at Citrus Valley High School. Additional road parking will likely be out there close to Coyazo Park the place permitted, based on organizers.
