TheBus resumes operations | Workplace of the Mayor

HONOLULU – The City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Transportation Services (DTS) will resume TheBus service mid-morning Sunday, 8/16/2026 following the Saturday suspension of service as a result of results of Tropical Storm Lala. Service restoration will start at 8:00 a.m. and would require two hours or extra for implementation.

We thank everybody for his or her persistence as we work to revive TheBus service and work in the direction of working our full Sunday schedule, nonetheless, as a consequence of ongoing climate situations and workforce availability, TheBus riders might expertise lacking scheduled journeys by way of Sunday.
