Enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime journey to look at jaguars within the Pantanal, the wild coronary heart of Brazil, with Great Beyond Adventures and Zoo New England!
Join journey host Dave Caron, Zoo New England’s Vice President of Development, for an 11-day journey by way of Brazil’s most pristine wildlife habitats. From jaguar-spotting within the Pantanal to exploring the breathtaking Amazon rainforest and the long-lasting Iguazu Falls, it is a journey like no different!
Itinerary:
- Day 1-2: Arrive in Cuiaba and in a single day at Hotel Deville Prime Cuiaba (or related)
- Day 2-5: Head to North Pantanal, in a single day at Aymara Lodge (or related)
- Embark on a full-day jaguar safari, exploring the Cuiaba River by boat to seek for jaguars, large otters, capybaras, and extra.
- Enjoy hikes, canoeing, bike safaris, and excursions led by knowledgeable bilingual guides.
- Day 5-6: Return to Cuiaba and fly to Manaus, in a single day at Blue Tree Premium Manaus Hotel (or related)
- Day 6-8: Amazon journey at Juma Amazon Lodge (or related)
- Experience dawn excursions, jungle hikes, canoe journeys, and native cultural encounters with native communities.
- Learn about Amazonian wildlife, take part in piranha fishing, and discover the unbelievable biodiversity of the rainforest.
- Day Sep 11: Head to Foz do Iguaau, in a single day at Saint George Hotel (or related)
- Explore the world-famous Iguazu Falls on each the Brazilian and Argentine sides, with panoramic views of the waterfalls and plush surrounding jungle.
- Optional go to to the Bird Park for a singular have a look at native fauna.
