Huskies Journey To URI, Host PC

BOSTON— The Northeastern girls’s soccer staff is about for an additional two-game week, first touring to Rhode Island on Thursday, Aug. 20 at 7 p.m. The Huskies will then host Providence for his or her house opener at Parsons Field on Sunday, Aug. 23 at 4 p.m.

Thursday’s sport will stream on ESPN+ and Sunday’s match is on FloCollege.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW:

1. A HOT START: Northeastern began the season 2-0 for the primary time since 2017 and posted its first back-to-back shutouts since 2024. Senior goalkeeper Eliza Teplow was named the CAA Defensive Player of the Week after posting 13 saves over two video games. The Huskies scored three targets, with all targets coming from separate objective scorers.
2. ON THE RHODE: The Huskies are set to face Rhode Island for the second 12 months in a row after dropping to the Rams, 1-0, in 2025. NU owns a 6-4-2 file all-time towards the Rams and are in search of its first win in Kingston since 2021. The Rams sit at 1-1 on the 12 months after a season-opening victory towards Maine adopted by a loss at Providence.
3. A LOOK AT THE FRIARS: The Huskies are in search of their first home-opening victory for the reason that 2020-21 season. This marks the third season in a row PC and NU will meet. The Friars are driving a three-game win streak towards the Huskies. Northeastern owns an all-time file of 3-5-1 towards Providence, with its final win coming in 2016. PC is 1-0-1 in 2026, and can tackle fellow CAA member Monmouth earlier than touring to Parsons.

The Huskies will subsequent host Yale on Thursday, Aug. 27 at 6 p.m.
