BFA Photography and Video and MFA Photography, Video, and Related Media current The Dark Bright Sky: Jade Doskow and Freshkills, a panel dialogue about Doskow’s long-running work in Freshkills Park in Staten Island, New York City, and her upcoming exhibition, The Dark Bright Sky: A September eleventh Memorial Exhibition.

Jade Doskow is a New York-based artist, photographer, and educator, greatest recognized for her work Freshkills, Lost Utopias, ABC No Rio, and Red Hook. Doskow holds a BA from New York University’s Gallatin School of Individual Study and an MFA from the School of Visual Arts (MFA Photography, Video, and Related Media). Doskow is the Photographer-in-Residence at Freshkills Park and has been deeply dedicated to this work and to the partnership with New York City Parks and the Department of Sanitation since 2018. Her images of Freshkills, in addition to writing and multimedia collaborative items for this and different long-term initiatives, have been exhibited inside establishments together with the Museum of Modern Art, Staten Island Museum, Alice Austen House, Cornell University, Museum London, and featured in such publications because the New York Times, Virginia Quarterly Review, Harvard’s Social Impact Review, and Urban Omnibus.

Doskow has been the topic of a documentary by filmmaker Philip Shane, Jade Doskow, Photographer of Lost Utopias, which profiled Doskow as she traveled and created her Lost Utopias venture — a twelve-year investigation into the remaining artwork, structure, and landscaping of world’s gala’s internationally.

Doskow is an Adjunct Professor of Photography on the City University of New York – College of Staten Island. In 2025, Doskow obtained the Dolphin Award for Excellence in Teaching by Member of the Adjunct Faculty – the primary professor within the arts division of the College to obtain the award in 25 years. Doskow can also be on the college of the School of Visual Arts within the BFA division; Doskow has held these positions since 2020 at CUNY and since 2023 at SVA.

Currently, Doskow is engaged on the primary ebook of the Freshkills work in addition to making ready for the September 2026 exhibition, The Dark Bright Sky: A September 11^th Memorial Exhibition, to be held at All Street Gallery within the Lower East Side of New York City. Mark Lubell is a artistic govt and cultural entrepreneur, working on the intersection of tradition, expertise, and commerce. Christopher Ricker is the Freshkills Park Program Director for the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation. A local Staten Islander, Christopher grew up in New Springville and from an early age grew to become fascinated with the pure world due to visits to the Staten Island Zoo, Clove Lakes, and High Rock Park. Ricker holds a Bachelor of Science diploma in Adventure Education & Outdoor Studies with a focus in Natural Resource Management from Green Mountain College. He started his profession in NYC Parks with the Student Youth Employment Program (SYEP) again in the summertime of 2000, in 2003 he was part of the Ranger Conservation Corps in High Rock Park, and later labored as an Environmental Educator within the Staten Island Greenbelt.
