Kearney Area Children’s Museum hosts fourth annual Bubble Run at Yanney Park

The Kearney Area Children’s Museum introduced bubbles, child racing and a 5K to Yanney Park on Saturday morning for its fourth annual Bubble Run, attracting households to the a one-of-a-kind occasion.

Organizer Janell Brown mentioned the Bubble Run is about greater than crossing a end line.

“I think everything about it’s special. It’s really fun to bring the community out on a beautiful day. Get some exercise during the weather and really just come together. But also celebrate the children’s museum in our mission. What better fit is bubbles. So after you get your exercise, let’s play,” Brown mentioned.

The occasion featured a morning 5K run, a big foam machine and even a child crawl race.

Cassie Larreau mentioned the infant crawl attracts curiosity from many mother and father for functions past novelty.

“You know, the baby crawl is near and dear to my heart. It’s just so fun and it’s silly. And let’s the littlest get involved in a way that’s not just in a stroller on the run,” Larreau mentioned.

All proceeds from the Bubble Run went to help the museum’s mission to encourage play and exploration, together with its Caring and Sharing Scholarship Program. Organizers mentioned the occasion was devoted to supporting the wellness of the neighborhood throughout all ages.

Larreau thanked those that attended and supported the Bubble Run.

“We had a great year. We’re raising money for something that is so near and dear to my heart, making sure that all families have access to play. So just a huge thank you for everybody. And if you missed it, make sure you’re out next year because that foam pit is absolutely insane,” Larreau mentioned.
