Anthropologie opening at Bluhawk in Overland Park, Kansas City

Overland Park’s new mixed-use district has announced that a popular women’s clothing brand will open next summer.

Anthropologie will join the 277 acre project, marking its third location in the Kansas City area, Bluhawk said in a news release.

“Anthropologie is a natural fit for Bluhawk as we continue building out the retail offering,” said Kent Price, president of Price Brothers, the developer and manager of Bluhawk, in the release. “Its breadth across fashion, home and lifestyle adds another dimension to the experience and complements the national brands taking shape across the project.”

The opening announcement follows other national brands opening in the district, including L.L. Bean, Barnes & Noble, J.Crew Factory and Buckle. The ongoing development is located off 159th Street, Antioch Road and 69 Highway.

Since 1992, Anthropologie has been offering women an assortment of clothing, shoes, accessories, home decor, bridal, furniture and more. Today, it has more than 200 stores around the world. Other locations in Kansas City include the Country Club Plaza and the Town Center Plaza in Leawood.
