Children’s Day returns for household enjoyable on South Whidbey Sept. 21

Children’s Day is returning to South Whidbey subsequent month after a six-year hiatus.

The free outside celebration for kids and households will probably be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12 at South Whidbey Community Park, 5495 Maxwelton Road in Langley, in line with a press launch.

The occasion will function greater than 30 interactive cubicles and actions supplied by Island County companies, organizations and companies that assist youngsters and households. Entertainment will embrace magicians, jugglers, storytellers, a dance get together, stay music and free face portray.

Families are inspired to carry a picnic and observe an exercise path. The occasion may also give dad and mom a chance to study providers and assets out there to households on Whidbey Island.

A sensory-friendly tent area will probably be out there by way of a partnership with South Whidbey Family Circle for kids and others who want a quieter place throughout the occasion.

Children’s Day is organized by Partners for Young Children Island County in partnership with Sno-Isle Libraries, Island County Public Health, Mother Mentors, The Collective in Oak Harbor, Steps, South Whidbey C.A.R.E.S. Coalition, Opportunity Council, Child Care Aware and South Whidbey Parks and Recreation.

Molina Healthcare, Puget Sound Energy and Whidbey Community Foundation are sponsoring the occasion.
