Beloved DTLA pasta restaurant to shut after almost a decade in enterprise

“When we started, we ran out of money,” Dina Samson, who co-owned Rossoblu with husband and chef Steve Samson, advised Eater. “We started hoping we would make the first payment, and it’s been like that since day one. Where do you find the money to keep going?”

The couple stated that they had offered the enterprise to undisclosed new companions who plan to reimagine the house, with Chef Steve doubtlessly returning to helm the kitchen.

“The fact that somebody came in and said, ‘Hey, let us buy it from you, and you can still be a part of it if you want,’” Samson stated. “Why would we say no?”
