ODU Swimming’s Lilly Cleal Named to All-Sun Belt Community Service Team

NEW ORLEANS – Old Dominion swimmer Lilly Cleal was named to the All-Sun Belt Community Service Team, the convention introduced on Monday.

The All-Sun Belt Community Service Team is an initiative aimed to acknowledge one student-athlete from every Sun Belt establishment who has proven excellent dedication to neighborhood service. Each faculty was invited to appoint one student-athlete who demonstrates excellence in neighborhood service, significantly within the management and execution of those efforts.

This recognition was developed at the side of the Sun Belt Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) to focus on the significance of neighborhood service inside the Sun Belt Conference’s mission, whereas persevering with the celebration of the impactful contributions taking place on all 14 Sun Belt campuses.

Cleal contributed over 1,000 service hours at hospitals within the 757 space. She exhibits a stage of dedication that displays each her ardour for nuclear medication and her deep dedication to serving the Norfolk neighborhood. 

The now alumna freestyle swimmer maintained a gentle presence with Kids Club by writing to youth within the 757 as a pen pal. She is notably supporting a literacy marketing campaign in elementary faculties and usually volunteering as a neighborhood race marshal or handing out water at dawn. 

Cleal additionally earned the HelperHelper Top Division I Female Contributor Award.
