As of 4:12 p.m. on Sept.15, 2026, Public Health – Seattle & King County is recommending that individuals and pets keep out of the water on the swimming areas of Juanita Beach Park for not less than one week on account of elevated micro organism ranges. Signs might be positioned to point that the swimming space is closed. The remainder of the park stays open.
Additionally, Houghton Beach has been reopened for swimming, wading, and different water actions, by suggestion of Public Health – Seattle & King County. The seaside had been closed to swimming since Sept. 9 on account of elevated micro organism ranges.

King County crews will return to the seashores subsequent week to gather additional samples.
