Montgomery Parks and Rec. to host group gaming event

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – Young avid gamers could have an opportunity to place their expertise to the check for a shot at money prizes.

The Montgomery Parks and Recreation Department will host a gaming event on Friday, Sept. 25, from 5:30 p.m. to eight p.m. on the Chisholm Community Center, 545 East Vandiver Boulevard. It is open to gamers 13 and older of all talent ranges.

The competitors options two gaming brackets: Fortnite and Super Smash Bros.

The Fortnite winner will obtain a $100 GameStop reward card, and the Super Smash Bros. champion will obtain a $50 GameStop reward card.

The entry charge is $10 per participant. Participants might scan the QR code on the occasion flyer or register by the city’s website. Registration closes Sept. 24 at 5 p.m.

Department officers emphasize their expectations for all gamers to show good sportsmanship to make sure a constructive environment.
