Boyd Gaming invitations Southern Nevada nonprofits to use for ‘Trees of Hope’

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Boyd Gaming is inviting Southern Nevada nonprofit organizations to use for a spot within the firm’s annual “Trees of Hope” competitors, now getting into its twelfth 12 months.

Since Boyd first introduced Trees of Hope to Las Vegas in 2015, the corporate has donated greater than $500,000 to charities throughout the Las Vegas Valley.

How the competitors works

This 12 months, 40 native charities will likely be invited to brighten a tree impressed by their group’s mission at eight taking part Boyd properties throughout Southern Nevada.

At the conclusion of the competitors, Boyd Gaming will award a complete of $73,000 in prize cash to taking part charities. A prime prize of $3,000 will go to every property’s successful charity, as chosen by visitor votes. Every taking part nonprofit is assured a minimal prize of $1,000.

Winners will likely be decided by means of in-person voting and an extra social media contest.

How to use

Participation is open to licensed 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations serving the Southern Nevada neighborhood. Applicants should present proof of tax-exempt standing, corresponding to a Form W-9 or IRS dedication letter, together with a quick description of their group.
