Draining Your Swimming Pool?

Did you realize that you just can’t discharge pool water onto the road or right into a catch basin? The Town’s Rules and Regulations Concerning Permission for Use of Town Roadways and Rights-of-Way prohibits any discharge of water onto the Town owned proper of means, and a violation may end up in fines.

The Town of Tewksbury’s Municipal Stormwater Bylaws permits discharge from de-chlorinated swimming pool water (lower than one ppm complete chlorine) offered the water is allowed to face for one week previous to draining.
