“My work explores the space between remembering and experiencing—the way a memory, image or dream from the past can become present again when I return to a place,” Beerbower stated. “That makes ‘Into The Waves’ a particularly appropriate work for this exhibition. The photograph comes out of a project about returning to a landscape that has accumulated personal meaning over time, while the exhibition itself asks questions about how places remember, how people carry time with them, and how acts of return can become acts of transformation.” 

Iggy Beerbower earned a Master of Fine Arts diploma from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 2002 and a Bachelor of Fine Arts diploma from the University of Hartford in 1993.
