KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State Volleyball redshirt sophomore Olivia Burrage has become the institution’s inaugural CUSA Spirit of Service Award recipient, serving as the Owls’ representative on the Fall 2024 Team, as announced by the conference office. This accolade acknowledges student-athletes who demonstrate considerable community service, maintain good academic performance, and actively participate in their athletic endeavors. The Spirit of Service award is bestowed three times during the season, with this fall’s recipients representing men’s cross country, football, women’s soccer, and volleyball.

A native of Jefferson, Ga., Burrage, who is a starting middle blocker for KSU, has been active with Reflections of Trinity, a non-profit organization that addresses the fundamental needs of individuals in crisis through the provision of food, clothing, and household items. Burrage led the squad in blocks (104) and blocks per set (0.91), with both statistics ranking among the top 10 single-season performances in the school’s history, while also placing second in CUSA for hitting percentage (.368) with an average of 2.16 kills per set. Her performance was crucial in leading the Owls, who were slated to finish seventh in the preseason rankings, to a fourth-place conclusion in the regular season and a journey to the CUSA Tournament semifinals after securing a victory in the quarterfinals. Presently, she maintains a 3.15 GPA while majoring in elementary education.
