Interested in mastering how to capture exceptional photos and videos with your iPhone? Lance Whitney will guide you through utilizing all the camera’s functionalities and settings, composing and obtaining the ideal images, as well as applying specific effects to improve your photographs. We will also explore the Photos application on the iPhone to instruct you on tweaking and arranging your images. Please have your iPhone handy during class so you can experiment with the various tools and techniques we discuss. Instructor Lance Whitney is a tech journalist and has authored the book “Teach Yourself Visually LinkedIn.” He has also penned a book on Windows 8. He currently contributes to TechRepublic, ZDNet, PCMag, and other technology platforms. Previously, he served as a system administrator at Ciba Specialty Chemicals. He has taught a diverse array of continuing education courses at Ridgefield Continuing Education for several years.

DSLR Photography

Basic Digital Camera Operation – in-person
Need assistance in comprehending how to operate your DSLR camera? Is the instruction manual that was included nearly impossible to interpret? Bring your DSLR or mirrorless camera along with its manual to this class. This course will assist you in learning how to capture photographs you can take pride in and build a solid understanding of photography principles. Every necessary button and switch will be clarified so that your images turn out well-exposed and sharply focused. Whether your interest lies in photographing loved ones, nature, landscapes, or sports, this course will undoubtedly refine your skills. You will learn to capture the action in sports; create stunning portraits with a blurred backdrop, and utilize your flash like professional fashion and wedding photographers… You’ll develop true confidence in your photography skills. Instructor John Zappala holds a degree in fine arts and possesses numerous years of experience as a photographer and photography educator.

$104 (Ridgefield Seniors aged 62 and above pay $89) No senior discount available for non-residents.

Classes on Mondays, 3/31; 4/7, 21, 28 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at East Ridge Middle School.
