This three-hour workshop will illustrate the essentials of photography. Whether you’re using an iPhone or a traditional camera, you will depart with insights on capturing beautifully lit, well-framed and strategically composed images. We will commence by examining what photography represents and how it is perceived across various cultures and mediums. This session will offer an interactive introduction to the broader world of photography. Next, we will explore the properties of light and its interactions. My approach will be based more on practical understanding rather than academic theory; in essence, how to photograph in everyday terms instead of a strictly “textbook” approach. Subsequently, we will delve into framing, various perspectives, and techniques to enhance the professionalism of your photos. Additionally, we will assess different styles of photography, such as street, landscape, wildlife, automotive, portraits, and others. Lastly, we will learn about composition—how to present the subject (or even a subject-less image) in the most appealing way, including discussions on the rule of thirds, leading lines, and additional strategies.

Everyone possesses a photographic eye, as we all identify diverse elements as beautiful! This workshop will empower you to capture the finest images for any situation.
