A man charged with providing drugs to Liam Payne, a former member of the band One Direction who tragically died after falling in Argentina last year, has been apprehended.
Braian Paiz, aged 24, was taken into custody by Argentinian authorities on Friday and is claimed to be one of two individuals who furnished Payne with cocaine during the days leading up to his demise.

Paiz, working as a waiter, along with another unnamed individual, who prosecutors allege was an employee at the hotel where Payne resided until he tragically fell from the balcony of his room, are accused of providing drugs.

Payne plunged from his accommodation’s balcony in the affluent district of Palermo in Buenos Aires. His autopsy report states he succumbed to multiple traumas and external hemorrhaging.
Prosecutors additionally disclosed that Payne’s toxicology reports indicated that his system contained “traces of alcohol, cocaine, and a prescribed antidepressant” shortly before his passing.
Payne’s autopsy revealed that his injuries were not the result of self-inflicted harm or external physical involvement. The report also noted that he lacked the reflex to shield himself during the fall, implying he might have been unconscious.
