Behind the Scenes Fun: Amanda Seyfried and Sydney Sweeney’s Playful Moments on ‘The Housemaid’ Set!

“The Housemaid” movie has officially entered production.

The movie’s official Instagram account posted an entertaining video on Friday featuring stars Amanda Seyfried and Sydney Sweeney engaging in a TikTok trend while on set.

In the clip, the performers lip-sync the audio from the TikTok account @bookclubwannabe, reacting to the literature.

“Lights, camera, deception,” read the video’s caption. “#TheHousemaidMovie — now in production.”

The clip also featured director Paul Feig along with actors Brandon Sklenar and Michele Morrone.

This forthcoming movie is inspired by the best-selling novel of the same title by author Freida McFadden.

McFadden reacted to the clip, exclaiming, “So thrilled!!!!!”

The film’s logline describes it as follows: “Sweeney portrays Millie, a young woman facing hardship who finds solace in her new role as a housemaid to Nina (Seyfried) and Andrew (Sklenar), an affluent couple… but soon discovers their family’s hidden dangers overshadow her own.”

This eagerly awaited film is expected to hit theaters on December 25, 2025.
