To engage youth in photography, the Photographic Society of Chattanooga hosts an annual Youth Photography Showcase for pupils between the ages of 14 and 18 who are enrolled in high school or equivalent institutions. The objective is to showcase exceptional photographs created by high school-aged individuals from public, private, and home educational backgrounds along with community groups. This presents a chance for students to exhibit their creativity across various platforms and gain acknowledgment for their contributions.

The 2025 Youth Photography Showcase (marking its 19th edition) will commence on Jan. 13 and conclude on Feb. 15. Participation is free of charge.

For the year 2025, six categories will be available:

1. Architecture (1)

2. People/Animals (1)

3. Scapes (1)

4. Photojournalism (1)

5. Color Photographer’s Choice (2)

6. Monochrome Photographer’s Choice (2)

Please visit the PSC website for further details, including required dimensions and the submission form.

A cash reward will be awarded for the Best of Show, and ribbons will be granted for HM, 3rd, 2nd, and 1st Places in every category. Certificates will also be provided for images chosen to be forwarded to the Photographic Society of America for competition.
