Timothée Chalamet Dives into Music to Transform into Bob Dylan in ‘A Complete Unknown’

LOS ANGELES — He is one of the most creative singer-songwriters in music history, and now the narrative of Bob Dylan is showing at a theater near you.

Timothée Chalamet delivers a career-defining portrayal as the legendary folk artist in “A Complete Unknown.”

The film unfolds over a span of four years, chronicling the period when Bob Dylan arrived in New York’s West Village with his guitar and groundbreaking talent, followed by his ascent to stardom and the contentious decision that echoed across cultures around the globe.

“The training didn’t feel like training. It was more like an extensive process of absorption that I’m anxious to part with now,” Chalamet expressed.

“What drew me to this film from the outset was this inquiry into genius, examining how it affects and transforms your connections with everyone you cherish, despise, or encounter,” director/writer/producer James Mangold remarked.
