The women’s swimming and diving squad from Colorado College is heading to San Diego for a double-dual competition against Division I rivals San Diego State and Cal. State East Bay on Tuesday, Jan. 7. The event is set to commence at 2 p.m. (PT).

The Tigers placed third at the Centre College Invitational held in Danville, Ky., in late November.
 
Emma Krasemann claimed victory and established a meet record in both diving competitions, achieving first in the 3-meter with 385.3 points and the 1-meter with 385.3 points.
 
The Tigers accumulated a total of 1800 points, behind Centre College (2670.5) and the University of the Cumberlands (2242.5).
 
Julia Cox and Alyssa Tungaal secured third place in the 100 freestyle and 200 butterfly, respectively, with Cox also finishing fourth in the 200 freestyle and teaming up with Sarah Buchman, Grace Ersfeld-O’Brien, and Megan Simonson on the fourth-place team for the 400 freestyle relay.

Abby Romisher secured fifth in the 500 freestyle, while Aspen Fisher obtained sixth in the 400 IM and Olivia Crisafulli rounded off in seventh in the 100 butterfly.

 

The 200 freestyle relay team featuring Megan Simonson, Sarah Buchman, Pilar Pagni, and Cox achieved an admirable third-place position, while the Tiger group comprising Sienna Schaay, Malia Hewitt, Simonson, and Cox finished fourth in the 200 medley relay. 

 

Men to Compete in Exhibition at SDSU

The men’s team from CC is also in California and will participate in exhibition races during the women’s competition.

 

Next Matches

The women’s team will welcome CSU Pueblo on Saturday, Jan. 11, at 11 a.m. (MT). Both teams will subsequently host the annual Colorado College Classic starting on Friday, Jan. 17.
