Women’s Tennis | January 07, 2025
LOS ANGELES – The No. 17 USC women’s tennis squad, directed by eighth-year head coach Alison Swain, commences 2025 at the forthcoming three-day Weinman Foundation Invitational in Honolulu, Hawaii. The University of Hawaii will host USC alongside the defending NCAA Champions and No. 2 rated Texas A&M Aggies.
The event is scheduled from Wednesday, Jan. 8 to Saturday, Jan. 11 at the UH Tennis Complex. Matches begin each day at 12 p.m. PT (10 a.m. HT).
USC concluded fall competitions in late November, with Grace Piper and Lily Fairclough participating in the inaugural 2024 Fall NCAA Individual Championships. The pair reached the round of 16, while Piper progressed to the second round in singles competition.
The Hawaii Invite marks USC’s final individual/tournament format event of the season, as the Women of Troy will transition to dual matches for the remainder of the spring.
Just yesterday, Piper was selected for the Big Ten Conference’s 2025 Women’s Tennis Players to Watch List. Piper enters this week ranked as the No. 37 singles player nationally. Trojan Emma Charney holds the No. 45 rank and Immi Haddad is placed at No. 57 entering the spring season. In doubles, Piper and Fairclough are positioned as No. 7 following their impressive fall performance.
