EAST LANSING, Mich. — The women’s tennis team from Michigan State will be sending two athletes to the Michigan Invitational this upcoming weekend in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Competitions at the University of Michigan’s Varsity Tennis Center will take place from Friday to Sunday, January 10-12.

Freshman Amara Brahmbhatt and redshirt-sophomore Hanna Tsitavets will represent the Spartans, participating in both singles and doubles matches. This Spartan pair will compete alongside individuals from Eastern Michigan and face off against No. 15 Ohio State and Texas Tech, in addition to the host and No. 8 Michigan.

The weekend’s events will kick off with doubles matches on Friday at 1 p.m., followed by singles contests against Michigan. On Saturday morning at 10 a.m., the Spartan duo will engage in doubles against Michigan, followed by their singles matches against Ohio State. Sunday’s competition begins at 10 a.m. with doubles against Ohio State, leading into singles play versus Texas Tech.

Michigan State will commence full dual-match competition for the 2025 season on Friday, January 17 in Spokane, Washington, starting with a match against Gonzaga, followed by a confrontation with Washington State on Sunday, January 19, which will also take place in Spokane. MSU is set to host Xavier on Friday, January 24 at 5 p.m. at the MSU Tennis Center.
