Ohio State supporters encountered travel disruptions on Thursday morning, as a winter storm hit Texas just before tomorrow’s Cotton Bowl.

According to the flight monitoring website Flight Aware, over 1,100 flights from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport were either canceled or delayed today.

The cancellations included a single American Airlines flight leaving from John Glenn International Airport; however, numerous other flights experienced delays.

“We just discovered on the shuttle that our flight has been postponed,” said Diana Bahr. “And while I have been standing here conversing with you, they postponed it once more.”

Bahr, who is meant to meet family to witness the Buckeyes compete against the Longhorns on Friday evening, mentioned she was considering all options to make it there.

“I will manage to make it happen,” she stated, “but it may not be until tomorrow.”

OSU student Mia Tuman expressed that she was remaining hopeful while monitoring the weather forecast.

“Clearly, that’s a significant aspect of traveling, and we had to even change my flight to an earlier schedule because we were concerned the other one might be canceled.”

OSU supporter Chris Sweeney and his two daughters were patiently waiting to board their flight wearing scarlet cowboy hats, which they joked might be their good luck charm.

“We didn’t wear them for Michigan, which turned out to be a disaster, and we’ve kept wearing them since. So, we plan to continue! Good luck,” he remarked.

Kickoff is still slated for 7:30 p.m. EST at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

Officials from the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic released a statement earlier this week indicating that they were ready “for all possibilities.”
