STANDISH, Maine — The Husson University men’s swimming & diving squad achieved a road victory over Saint Joseph’s College of Maine on Friday. 
 
The Eagles commenced the day by securing the 200-yard medley relay as the ensemble of junior Sam Peiser, freshman Jake Perkins, and juniors Alex Walsh and Lucas Fendl clocked in at 1:48.00, while the group of junior Jacob Brown, freshman Bennett Walker, junior Ryan Emerson, and Brady Hand recorded a time of 1:59.00
 
Senior Hunter Jackson achieved a time of 11:28.70 in the 1,000-yard freestyle to take first place, with Walker finishing second at 12:41.27. 
 
Walsh triumphed in the 200-yard freestyle with a result of 1:52.70, followed by Fendl and Brown who came in second and third, respectively. 
 
Emerson showcased the Eagles’ strong performance with a victory in the 50-yard backstroke at 25.56, while Hand and Perkins took second and third place. 
 
Peiser secured consecutive victories in the 50-yard breaststroke and 50-yard freestyle with times of 30.44 and 22.81, while Walker finished second in the 50 breast, and Walsh and Jackson earned second and third-place finishes in the 50-yard free. 
 
Fendl emerged victorious in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 58.26, with Walker coming in second at 59.11. 
 
Walsh additionally made his second win of the day in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:35.92, securing second place for Peiser. 
 
Emerson recorded his second triumph of the meet in the 500-yard freestyle, posting a time of 5:37.13, and winning the 50-yard butterfly at 28.37. 
 
Brown and Perkins finished second and third, respectively, in the 50 fly with times of 29.22 and 29.30, as Husson concluded the meet by winning the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:54.68, achieved by Fendl, Jackson, Perkins, and Brown. 
 
The Eagles will return to the pool on Jan. 18 when they host the University of Maine Club Team at 11 a.m. in Webber Pool.
