“Winter Wonderland: Jonesboro Residents Embrace the Snowy Joy!”

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – Residents in Region 8 are reveling in the snowfall.

A day of snow presents an opportunity to unwind, step back from daily life, and savor the experience. Locals were doing just this at an apartment complex situated on Nettleton Avenue on Friday, Jan. 10.

Both Howard Santiago and Carlos Alvarado relished their snow day.

“It’s a wonderful experience, spending time outdoors with the kids, having fun; a snow day is my day,” Santiago shared.

“I’m really thrilled about the snow day; this is my second encounter with snow, and I feel really excited,” Alvarado expressed.

From snowy battles to snowmen, snow angels, and furry companions experiencing snow for the first time!

Marsalena Austin mentioned this is Pepper, her dog’s, initial encounter with snow.

“He’s thrilled and chilly, but he’s really excited; he doesn’t understand what’s happening,” Austin remarked.

Snow days seem to be an ideal way to unite people.

“If someone is in need, you can assist them, and they can help you because you don’t really know one another,” Austin stated. “We’re all neighbors, but I’m just starting to see everyone out, so it’s a wonderful thing when it snows.”

“It’s a time for family; we come together, playing outside with the neighbors. Here, the neighborhood is welcoming; everyone stands by each other, and each season is a time for family and valuable moments,” Santiago conveyed.
