HOPEWELL, N.J. – Senior guard Ally Becki of Ball State has garnered national attention as she has been selected for the 2025 Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year Watch List, as announced this morning by Her Hoops Stats.

Becki stands in fifth place nationally for triple doubles, 15th in assists (91), and 17th in assists per game (5.7). Additionally, Becki leads the MAC in four separate categories: assist/turnover ratio (2.33), total assists (91), assists per game (5.7), and triple doubles (1).

Recently, Becki was honored as the MAC Player of the Week for the eighth time in her career on January 7, following her averages of 21.0 points per game, 8.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and 3.0 steals while shooting 56 percent (13-23) from the field, including a flawless 13-13 at the free-throw line in victories against Miami and Central Michigan.

Before the season commenced, Becki achieved MAC postseason recognition for the third consecutive year.

Becki achieved her inaugural triple double on November 13, 2024, against Memphis, scoring 22 points, grabbing 10 rebounds, and recording 10 assists in that match. This triple double also marked the first for a Ball State women’s basketball player since at least 2010, when the NCAA began tracking statistics for triple doubles. Becki ranks fifth in the nation for triple doubles and holds the top position in the MAC.

Presently, she occupies the 11th spot on Ball State’s all-time scoring chart (1,419 pts), is third in all-time assists (596), and stands 17th in all-time rebounds (635).

The midseason list for this year features athletes from 15 teams across 10 conferences. Five of those conferences – the A-10, MEAC, Mountain West, Missouri Valley, and Summit League – have two players each on the watch list. Gonzaga’s Yvonne Ejim has now joined Dyaisha Fair and Katelyn Young as the third player to be featured on three midseason watch lists. All statistics consider games played only against Division I opponents unless stated otherwise.
