“Splashes of Excellence: Jersey Mike’s Honors WAC Women’s Swimming and Diving Stars of the Week!”

ARLINGTON, Texas – New Mexico State’s Naomi Slee and Northern Arizona’s Victoria Knapp have been recognized as the Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women’s Swimmer and Diver of the Week, for the competition week concluding on Sunday, Jan. 12.
 
Slee, who is a junior, propelled New Mexico State to a 173-127 victory against Grand Canyon by achieving three first-place finishes across the same number of events. Slee earned individual victories in the 200 freestyle (1:50.98) and 200 backstroke (2:01.57). Additionally, Slee participated in the second leg of the 400 freestyle relay, where she clocked a split of 51.34 and helped the Aggies finish with a time of 3:24.63.
 
Knapp, a graduate student, took part in the Lancer Dive Invited, where she captured a second-place position in the 1-meter dive with a score of 287.80 and secured fifth place in the 3-meter dive with a score of 276.65. In the platform event, Knapp finished in ninth place with a score of 203.80.
