LAST TIME OUT

This weekend marks the first matches of the championship segment of the season for UND, having last competed in early November to close out the fall season. NoDak participated in four tournaments, including the ITA Regionals in Memphis, Tennessee.

PRESEASON POLL

For the second consecutive season, UND was picked to finish third in the annual Summit League Women’s Tennis Preseason Poll, as determined by the league’s head coaches. The Fighting Hawks garnered 23 votes after concluding last season with a 10-13 record and a 3-3 record in league competitions — progressing to the conference semifinals as the No. 3 seed. Once again, Denver was chosen to capture the league title, aiming for the 11th consecutive year.

AUBIN NAMED ATHLETE TO WATCH

Graduate student Aziza Aubin also received acknowledgment from the Summit League earlier this week, being named an athlete to watch for the first time in her career. The Bexhill-on-Sea, England, native recorded an 8-13 overall singles record last season on the No. 5 and 6 courts while finishing 6-8 in doubles competition.
