“Activate: Where Fitness Meets Fun in a Game-Changing Experience!”

BRENTWOOD, Mo. — If you are a fan of TikTok’s sensational hit Mega Grid, you can engage with it interactively at Activate, the globe’s inaugural active gaming experience.

Activate welcomed guests on Nov. 15 in Brentwood. This fresh location presents a distinctive combination of physical activity and gaming, fostering a healthy way of life.

Since its grand opening, Activate St. Louis has accumulated over 3,200 player accounts, as indicated by Kendall Wedemeier, the manager of Activate St. Louis.

“St. Louis has been incredibly hospitable to us, which is fantastic,” she remarked. “We were genuinely thrilled to expand into St. Louis due to its vast range of diversity and community options.”

Activate features 13 interactive rooms where players can compete, gather stars, and monitor their achievements. Each room consists of four to eight game modes and 10 various skill levels to unlock.

“You obtain a workout without even realizing it,” Wedemeier noted. “You have the opportunity to play alongside your friends.”

Every player possesses a wristband that connects to their profile. At the entrance of each interactive room is a screen where players scan their wristband, learn the game instructions, choose a mode, and determine a skill level.

Game durations range from two to five minutes.

“We can’t predict what everyone is experiencing in their lives, so they come here to enjoy themselves,” Wedemeier stated.

“We strive to ensure that they create unforgettable memories with their friends and family.”

To monitor a player’s advancement, a leaderboard is situated in the central hub. Activate St. Louis hosts a champions’ tournament where players can compete monthly for qualification.

The champion of the tournament will have their name engraved on a trophy displayed in the lobby for a decade, Wedemeier shared.

Here are a few of the games:

Grid: Colorful tiles are positioned at the players’ feet, and they must strategically navigate the room to finish each level. Step on or avoid specific tiles to achieve victory.

Hoops: Sink baskets using the color-changing backboards or aim for nothing but net. Attempt to make as many baskets as possible before the buzzer sounds.

Hide: In this updated take on hide and seek, your team must dash around the room to complete sequences while four luminescent eyes are watching and waiting for your errors. Use pillars to shield yourself.

Strike: Strike specific glowing wall targets promptly, or it will be game over for your team.

The venue also features a spacious photo booth and a party room available for rental.
