PITTSBURGH, Pa. – George Mason junior Tate Anderson clinched three individual events to propel the Patriots’ men’s squad past Cleveland State, while the women’s side was defeated by Duquesne and Cleveland State on Saturday in Pittsburgh, Pa.

The Patriots men’s group claimed victory in nine events, overcoming the Vikings with a score of 148-113. The women’s team suffered losses against the Dukes, 210.5-70.2, and the Vikings, 157-124.

On the men’s front, Anderson triumphed in the 50-yard freestyle (20.49), 100-yard freestyle (44.68), and 200-yard freestyle (1:36.73).

Senior Peyton Brehmer secured fourth place in the 50-yard freestyle (24.14). In the 400-yard IM, sophomore Casey Tingen finished fourth (4:34.87) and junior Gracie Sweeney was fifth (4:45.58).

During the 200-yard medley relay, senior Shannon Judge, Tyler, DeJong, and Brehmer teamed up to finish third (1:45.12). The combination of sophomore Hannah Magdeburg, Tyler, Brehmer, and Judge ended up in second (1:35.75).

The Patriots will conclude their home schedule by hosting Towson on Saturday, Jan. 25, with the meet set to commence at noon at the Aquatic and Fitness Center.
