STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – Senior Elijah Lanfear and rookie Evan Peters each triumphed in three individual events, while three Bearcat women claimed victory in a pair of individual events, marking Binghamton’s domination over Wagner in a swimming & diving dual competition on Saturday. The Bearcat men secured a 189-110 win, while the women triumphed with a score of 167-129. 

Lanfear dominated the men’s 50 free (21.41), 100 free (47.58), and 100 fly (50.41). He was also part of the victorious 200 medley relay team, which featured senior Max Kaback, junior Liam Preston, and freshman Tyler Schultz, finishing with a time of 1:34.38.

Peters, on the other hand, achieved his first-ever triple event victory. He swept the 200 free (1:43.17), 200 back (1:54.09), and 200 IM (1:56.34).

Juniors Maria Pignatelli, Elizabeth Tirado, and sophomore Fayanne Smith-Salzberg were the Bearcats women who won in two events. Pignatelli secured victories in the 50 free (24.77) and the 100 free (53.07), while Smith-Salzberg earned top honors in the 200 breast (2:25.43) and the 200 IM (2:12.64). Tirado excelled in the one-meter diving competition (245.45) and also claimed victory in the three-meter diving event (224.10).

Additional Binghamton winners on the women’s side included freshman Natalie Kassirer in the 1,000 free (10:57.61) and sophomore Haley Nowak in the 100 fly (59.41).

Among the Bearcat men’s team’s other victors against Wagner were sophomore Harrison Lambert in the 1,000 free (9:48.04), sophomore Dylan Norby in the three-meter diving event (273.95), freshman Logan Shriver in the 500 free (4:48.34), and freshman Jacob Koclanis in the one-meter diving competition (249.30).

Binghamton will return home to compete against Marist in its annual Senior Day Meet, scheduled for this coming Saturday at 1 p.m.
