A.J. Brown Reflects on Miserable Snow Game: “Not Even My Worst Enemy Deserves That!”

A.J. Brown is not fond of snowy games.

The Eagles’ wide receiver recorded only two receptions for 14 yards out of seven attempts and remarked that the snow-laden conditions, which escalated during the second half, “influenced everything.”

“Did you see that? I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy,” Brown stated after the match. “It was not enjoyable. Not enjoyable at all. Difficult game, challenging conditions, but we made the best of it. Aimed for the victory, and I’m glad we achieved it.”

Brown recognized that the Rams managed to establish their passing game — Matthew Stafford completed 26 of 44 attempts for 324 yards and two touchdowns. However, as the home side, Philadelphia could depend on their running game to accomplish their goals. While Jalen Hurts was 15 for 20, totaling 128 yards in the air, Saquon Barkley rushed for 205 yards and scored two touchdowns. Hurts also gained 70 yards on the ground, adding a touchdown.

“We did whatever was necessary to secure the victory, regardless of the passing game not performing as we desired,” Brown explained. “But ultimately, it doesn’t matter, you know? What is most important is that we secured the victory and progressed.”

“You have to give a pass to the performance of the passing game,” Brown remarked. “You’ve got to let this game slide, you understand? It was extremely difficult. The environment was harsh, you know? I keep getting asked this question. But there’s nothing one can do about it. The conditions were insane. We could barely see out there — so think about the challenge of throwing and catching the ball, even though they managed at the end. However, during the crucial moments of the game, they didn’t have a choice? I don’t believe that would’ve been their preferred option. They likely would have aimed to run the ball if possible.”
