Indian Embassy in Thailand points journey advisory, warns towards visiting these vacationer locations

Amid escalating tensions alongside the Thailand-Cambodia border, the Indian Embassy in Thailand on Friday issued a journey advisory urging Indian vacationers to stay vigilant and keep up to date by means of official Thai sources, together with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) newsroom.

“In view of the situation near Thailand-Cambodia border, all Indian travelers to Thailand are advised to check updates from Thai official sources, including TAT Newsroom. As per the Tourism Authority of Thailand, places mentioned in the following link are not recommended for traveling,” Embassy of India in Thailand posted on X.

Due to ongoing unrest alongside the Thai–Cambodian border, the Tourism Authority of Thailand introduced that a number of sights throughout seven provinces — Ubon Ratchathani, Surin, Sisaket, Buriram, Sa Kaeo, Chanthaburi, and Trat are at present not beneficial for visiting.

Fourteen Thai individuals have been killed and 46 others injured in army clashes close to the Thailand-Cambodia border, the deputy spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Health stated.

Cambodia had not launched any data on its casualties as of Thursday night, Xinhua information company reported.

In Bangkok, Public Health Minister Somsak Thepsuthin confirmed 14 deaths, together with 13 civilians and one soldier, together with 46 accidents.
