A POPULAR gadget is being urgently recalled after a stunning hearth danger was revealed.
The product is being pulled from grocery store cabinets and buyers are suggested to return the merchandise, if they’ve it.
The Goblin cordless vacuum is an immensely standard product, designed to make cleansing straightforward.
However it’s now being faraway from cabinets, after a fireplace danger was uncovered.
A press release on the UK Government’s web site reads: “It has been identified that in some units of the Goblin handheld vacuum, the battery may overheat.
“This may pose a fireplace security danger if left on cost and unattended.”
The statement added that the device “doesn’t meet the necessities of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016”.
Shoppers who own the device have been urged to stop using it, in light of the risks.
The affected product is the GHV102W-20 model of vacuum.
The cordless vacuum’s label says that it was “produced for Asda shops”, so shoppers have been advised to use the supermarket’s recall site for more information.
On Asda’s website, a statement reads: “Stop utilizing the unit and return it to your nearest ASDA retailer for a full refund or alternate.
“We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused.
“If you desire to any additional data, please contact Asda Customer Relations on 0800 952 0101.”
However, your product can only be returned if it has one of the following site codes on the body of the vacuum.
