Burlington, Vt. – Vanessa Smith recorded 2 saves as Vermont (0-1-2) misplaced to Yale (1-0) 1-0 at Virtue Field on Friday evening.

 “This was a good non-conference test for us tonight against a solid Yale team and I thought the game was pretty evenly matched,” stated Head Coach Kristi Huizenga. ” Our defense collectively was solid again and as the game wore, we were able to start generating more chances. Our players who came into the game gave us a great lift, especially Vanessa saving the penalty.”
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• In the primary three minutes of the match, Yale’s JoJo DeNegri scored a robust aim from simply contained in the field.
