Bruins in Fifth Place After First Day at Sahalee Players Championship

SAMMAMISH, Wash. – The UCLA males’s golf group opened its fall season on Saturday by taking pictures 10-over 586 by way of two rounds on the Sahalee Players Championship. The Bruins are in fifth place out of 12 groups headed into Sunday’s third and ultimate spherical.

 

Bruins’ sophomore Baylor Larrabee completed in a tie for thirteenth place, by way of 36 holes, after having carded 1-over 145. Larrabee shot 1-over 73 within the opening spherical and even par (72) within the second spherical.

 

Larrabee was joined by junior Alex Papayoanou on the person top-20 leaderboard. Papayoanou completed Saturday’s motion at 2-over 146, taking pictures even par (72) within the first spherical and 2-over 74 within the second spherical.

 

Rounding out UCLA’s different three rivals within the five-person lineup had been senior Kyle An (T-Twenty sixth, +3, 147), sophomore Logan Kim (T-Thirty fourth, +5, 149) and freshman Tyler Loree (T-Fiftieth, +8, 152). Junior Luciano Conlan completed at 9-over 153 on Saturday, competing as a person.

 

UCLA’s group shot eight-over par within the opening spherical and two-over par within the second spherical.

 

Looking on the 12-team leaderboard, Arizona State closed the night in first place (-4, 572), adopted by second-place Texas (E, 576) and third-place Pepperdine (+3, 579). The Bruins stood 5 strokes shy of rivals from the U.S. National Development Program (+5, 581) and one stroke forward of San Diego State and Washington (each at +11, 587).

 

UCLA will return to motion on Sunday at Sahalee Country Club. Tee occasions are set for 7:20 a.m. (PT). The Bruins will start from the primary gap at 7:42 a.m.
